Horseback Riding

English Riding

Huntseat (English-style) riding is taught in Strong Rock’s riding arena by instructors certified by either the Certified Horsemanship Association or Christian Camping Horsemanship International. Campers are put into classes based on experience, and classes include jumping for riders with advanced skills. Some basics of horse care, grooming, tacking up, and horse handling may be taught as well.

Trail Rides

All classes will participate in trail rides during the session, after riding skills are assessed and sharpened. Many scenic trails meander throughout the camp property and our experienced camp horses enjoy them as much as the campers do.
