Yesterday Rambo and I had the pleasure of visiting Strong Rock Christian School and hanging out with a lot of our past and current campers who attend there. We ate lunch in the cafeteria and probably saw at least 20 of our former campers throughout the meal. We had a great time catching up with many of you as well as meeting new friends. After school we set up in the chapel and hosted a camp informational meeting for prospective campers. We played pictionary, answered questions and met some great families.
Once the show was over, we took the opportunity to head out to the baseball complex and watch some of our campers practice. Four of our former campers were on the middle school team, so we had a great time watching the guys on the field.
It’s not everyday that we get to run into our campers, so this was a special day for us. As the summer draws near, we are thankful for all of you guys and we can’t wait to see you again. Things are getting heated up in the office as we are planning new skills, preparing plans for the Blob tower, cleaning up for Open House, finalizing the theme and all sorts of other random tasks. This time of year is crazy for us, but this is what we live for. Seeing some campers amidst the Spring rush provided us with just the sort of boost we need to keep moving forward.
